With the first of the winter weather not too far away,

We wish you a Merry Christmas...
This coming Weekend, we are preparing to open our 2010 Christmas Display. This year the department has doubled in size and we now have a range of Christmas Lights for both indoors and outside, as well as battery operated LED Lights (great for a window display or arranging on a wreath) and some wonderful Window Silhouettes.
Plus for our Opening Weekend (Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October) we are offering 10% OFF all Christmas Items, so prepare early this year and save money too!
This Sunday (31st October) sees the Tropical Inc. Roadshow visit G-Scapes.
This is your chance to get up close and personal with Parrots, Skunks, Snakes, Spiders, Creepy Crawlies and much more – also coming will be REAL MEERKATS!!

Meerkat Mania...
Regular visitors to us at G-Scapes will no doubt have seen our range of artificial Meerkats which have quickly become a best seller this year (must be something to do with a certain TV Advertisement!). We now have the new ranges of Meerkats in stock, so whether you want a Santa Meerkat, some on Sledges, the Three Wise Meerkats or one dressed as James Bond, these are bound to be a quick seller for Christmas Presents - take a look at some pictures below to see the latest collection!
Seasonal Plants...
November sees evergreen shrubs really come into their own. New at the Plant Centre this month is Photinia Pink Marvel - a close relative of the Red Robin plant, this new variety has attractive pink marbled leaves which brighten up any border. The plants are also suitable for growing in pots for winter colour, and as with the rest of the Red Robin plants, they can be used to make an attractive fast growing hedge or on its own as a specimen towards the back of a border.
If you want some colour in pots and baskets for the winter months, we now have Pansies available (Pack of 6 plants £2.99 or 4 packs for £10) as well as Violas & Primroses (99p per pot). We also have 'Miracle' Cyclamen (pictured below) which add instant colour and will tolerate the winter cold (£1.99 per pot). Just keep removing dead flower heads for an extended show through to the spring. Combine some of these winter patio plants together with Spring flowering Bulbs such as Dwarf Daffodil 'Tete-a-Tete', Tulips and Crocus for a long lasting display.
