Did you know the Lichfield Festival has a dedicated family and children's programme that caters for up to 5000 young people each year?

This year sees a range of creative, educational and fun events that the whole family can enjoy.

Dinosaur Cove allows children to examine fossils close up, as well as finding out how paleontologists interpret their finds. Learn all about dinosaurs with Dinosaur expert Chris Jarvis in this afternoon that any child who loves dinosaurs will enjoy.

A stunning puppetry and light show for ages 3+ in Mimika Theatre's beautiful Dome Tent, Small Worlds is a unique theatrical experience. Having performed at last year's festival, this show tells it's story in a visually stunning way, making it a one-of-a-kind experience.

Celebrate the 100th Birthday of Roald Dahl as the award-winning company Ballet Cymru turn his hilarious Revolting Rhymes in to a stunning dance extravaganza with Roald Dahl's Little Red Riding Hood & The Three Little Pigs.

With a series of music and craft workshops and a colourful pageant, The Rattler is a fun and interactive performance, that travels through the streets of Lichfield. Starting at the Cathedral Close and ending up at the Guildhall, this re-telling of Rumplstiltskin is not to be missed.
