Food Festival Season is on Its Way!

Following the amazing response to the Lichfield 2012 Food Festival, the organisers promise this year’s festival to be bigger and better.

With the spotlight on local produce and talent, you will get the chance to see local and regional chefs in action as well as plenty of other food related action including:

  • Ten cookery demonstrations in Lichfield Garrick’s Food Theatre
  • Local Food Producers displaying their wares in Lichfield Garrick’s Food Studio
  • A variety of cider, beers and lagers available over the whole weekend from Lichfield Arts’ Best of Local Brewers event in the Guildhall’s Guildroom
  • Meet The Brewer sessions (Saturday only)
  • Lichfield City Council’s Farmers Market – laid out during the festival weekend complementing the general market (Saturday).
  • Local food and crafts on Market Square (Sunday)
  • Tippers Lichfield branch on Europa Way is presenting FREE cookery demo’s throughout the day with celebrity chef, Rachel Green from Kill it! Cook it! Eat it! (Free tickets can be booked at www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the Box Office on 01543 412121.
  • Two foodie competitions are running over the festival weekend The Fruity Tooty Competition by Emporium Art Gallery (Saturday) and The Cupcake Competition, sponsored by The Kitchen Shop at Three Spires Shopping Centre (Sunday).
  • FREE equipment demonstrations by The Kitchen Shop
  • Wine & Ale Trail and the World Food Trail will see local eateries throughout Lichfield offering fabulous set menus for only £10 and bars and pubs serving wine and ale at only £3.

The Lichfield Food Festival 2013 is organised by the Lichfield Garrick and Lichfield District Council -in association with Lichfield City Council, Lichfield Arts, and the local chef and private caterer, Simon Smith.
