On June 7th 2014, The Samuel Johnson Birthplace in Lichfield is hosting a crafts workshop where families are invited to create a miniature model garden to celebrate summer and the love Georgians had for their grand landscaped gardens.

The imaginative hands-on session will be led by artist Carole Collier, and gardens will be created using every day materials and techniques including paper craft and quilling in order to make exciting additions to your garden.

The session will be made suitable for children and adults alike.

The workshop is just £3.50 per place, or a family ticket costs just £10 for up to two adults and up to three children. Places are limited so advance booking is essential. To book a place on the workshop call 01543 264 972, email sjmuseum@lichfield.gov.uk or pop into the Museum on the corner of the market square.
