Electrifying Show All Set To Stage At The Lichfield Garrick
11th April 2018

The Les Enfants Terribles Partnership Award winners; The Outbound Project, bring the story of Nikola Tesla - the world’s smartest man (at least according to Einstein) to the Lichfield Garrick on Saturday 28 April.

Tesla, born in Croatia in 1856, was an engineer known for designing the alternating-current (AC) electric system, which is still the predominant electrical system used across the world today. He also created the Tesla Coil which is still used in radio technology. While briefly working with Thomas Edison, the pair’s legendary feud ‘The War of the Currents’ is part of engineering folk law.

12 Million Volts sets out to tell the account of Tesla, but there are always at least three sides to every story, one person’s side, the other person’s side… and the truth. Expect holograms… sort of, pigeons with lasers coming out of their eyes… pretty much, and more lighting tricks than you could ever imagine that would fit in this high voltage show!

As part of the Lichfield Garrick’s Introducing series , 12 Million Volts runs in the theatre’s Studio on Saturday 28 April at 7.45pm. Tickets are priced at £17 and are available from www.lichfieldgarrick.com or the Box Office on 01543 412121.
