Here in Lichfield we look to do justice to the Lions’ motto “We Serve” .

Since being established in 1972 we have been able to raise over £1m from events large and small. Local organisations we have been able to help include; St Giles Hospice, Loughton Court, Live at Home Scheme’ The Pathway Project, Lichfield Talking Newspaper, Staffordshire Young Carers.

You will be joining perhaps the largest charity group in the world with over 1.3m members in 200 countries. Lions’ can trace its roots back to 1917 when a Chicago businessman asked a simple question that is as true now as it was then.'what if people put their talents to work improving their communities?'

Since 1968 over £450m has been provided to fund 10,000 projects much of which being directed at alleviating the causes of blindness particularly in children across the developing world.

Let’s not forget about having a goodtime! We do all the usual things like eating, the odd drink, cultural activities (not too many) and making the serious business of fund raising fun and not a chore.

Why not come along to one of our regular meeting’s at the George Hotel, Bird Street on the second Monday of each month (business) and fourth (social).
