To celebrate Covid-19 restrictions beginning to ease, a Classic Car Tour has been organised by Wolverhampton & South Staffordshire Car Club for Sunday 13th June 2021, giving classic car owners the chance to take to the roads to raise funds for The Community Foundation for Staffordshire.

The informal convoy (touring assembly) will have a ceremonial start in Lichfield City at 9am, before meandering via Barr Beacon, Sutton Park and the National Memorial Arboretum (where drivers will be able to take a refreshment break). The route will continue via other areas of local interest before finishing at Bishton Hall, Wolseley Bridge at around 1pm.

A spokesperson for Wolverhampton & Staffordshire Car Club says: “The event is open to owners of any type of classic car. It’s a chance to get a cherished vehicle out of the garage for a day and enjoy an organised drive around the greater Cannock Chase area.

“There was no Rotary Club of Lichfield St Chad Cars in the Park in 2020 due to the pandemic so, as a pre cursor to the July 2021 event, this is an opportunity for owners of any E Type, Ford Escort, Mini, Triumph, MG, TVR, Porsche, Morgan, Fiat, Lancia, Ferrari, Capri, Lamborghini or any other type of classic cars to dust off their steeds and have a great day out!”
