Wednesday 19th December brings award-winning Fret and Fiddle – previously advertised as appearing at The Flamingo – bringing their original take on jazz classics to The Guildhall.

This swing trio has a repertoire that ranges from Gypsy Jazz to the top hits of Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart and Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael and the great Grappelli.

We are lucky to have this fantastically talented trio performing for us on the 19th at 8.30pm.

Friday 21st December sees The Stumble performing at 8.30pm. This six piece band from Preston is one of the very best British blues bands around. With three great albums already to their name these guys will thrill you with their classic valve back line driven with shuffle and roll.

Sunday, 23rd December is the date to reserve for A Medieaval Christmas treat. Following their 2011 highly successful Victorian Christmas, Blast from the Past has delved further back in time to bring you this medieaval delight. Featuring long forgotten tales and songs and some surprisingly familiar carols played on authentic instruments there is no better preparation for your Christmas. As an added bonus the Armitage Mummers will also perform their traditional Armitage play.

Tickets for these concerts and for other Lichfield Arts events can be purchased directly from Lichfield Arts Box Office at Donegal House, Bore Street, Lichfield, (tel: 01543 262223) or online at www.lichfieldarts.org.uk.
