Burntwood Singer Returns to the Lichfield Garrick to Celebrate the Greats from Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll

A perfect feast of entertainment with superb singers, dancers and musicians playing the best in Country Music and Rock ‘n’ Roll which arrives at the Lichfield Garrick on Saturday 17th June.

Forever in Blue Jeans is a big hearted show featuring songs from Patsy Cline, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Mavericks, Tammy Wynette, The Carpenters & Carol King to hits from the great Western Musicals such as Oklahoma and Paint Your Wagon plus many more.

One of the principle cast members featuring in the show is Burntwood born Rachel Cantrell. Rachel attended Chase Town High School and performed in a number of local theatre productions before going on the West End to star in Casper The Musical.

Rachel commented: “I’m really excited to be returning to Lichfield and looking forward to performing at the Garrick. My friends and family will all be there and it will be great to see so many familiar faces in the audience. It’s going to be an amazing party!”

Forever in Blue Jeans is led by TV and radio recording artiste Carole Gordon who has toured with both Tammy Wynette and Boxcar Willie. Carole is also the lead vocalist in “Voice Of The Heart - Karen Carpenter” which played at the Lichfield Garrick last year. Carole and Rachel are joined by Gary Thatcher who is returning to the show after a stint in the national touring production of Grease and is widely regarded as one of the UK’s top session singers.

The vocal trio are backed by the terrific “Red Hot Blue Jeans Band” who perform stunning instrumentals which escalate with a grand finale of the great Neil Diamond hit, Forever In Blue Jeans.
