Bonfire night fun in Lichfield!

This year we have some great events locally so wrap up warm with some great hats & scarves from Dame Oliver's in Dam Street & get yourselves out there with all the family.

On Friday 2nd November comes Lichfield's annual biggest Bonfire Night extravaganza! Lichfield Rugby Club hosts this year's event with gates opening at 6.30pm with the bonfire being lit at 7pm. First display for the younger ones starts at 7.30pm. The second display will start from 8.15pm. There will be the usual fun fair, with the bar open for the Dad's! Pay on the gate £5 adults under 16's and seniors £3. Lots of free parking. Join them for this well organised event

Then on Saturday 3rd November 2012 from17:30 - 20:30

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED
The display is being run as a Scouting event. Therefore anybody attempting to bring alcohol into the event WILL be refused entry

PARKING
Parking around the venue is limited, so if you do come by car, please ensure you arrive early, and park safely and with due consideration to pedestrians, residents and other road users.

There's a weeknd extravaganza at Drayton Manor to close their season.

They will be ending their main season with a bang on the weekend of the 3rd & 4th of November 2012 with the biggest fireworks display in the Midlands.

Although we want you to have loads of fun we also want you to stay safe this Bonfire night, so take some tips from our local heroes Staffs Fire.

1  Light sparklers one at a time and wear gloves

2  Never give sparklers to a child under 5

3  Buy fireworks marked BS 7114

4  Keep fireworks in a closed box

5  Follow the instructions on each firework

6  Light them at arm’s length using a taper

7  Stand well back

8  Never go back to a lit firework

9  Never put fireworks in your pocket

10 Never throw fireworks

11 Keep pets indoors
