Thanks to a £9,000 refurbishment by Lichfield District Council, four tennis courts at Beacon Park in Lichfield have had a fabulous makeover - great timing for Junior tennis players following the Wimbledon final.
With new improved surfaces, lighting and nets, the tennis court lines have also been re-drawn and the park now has new netball and mini tennis courts.
If you're looking for somewhere to take the kids this summer, the tennis courts are available on a pay as you go basis or why not consider the Summer Tennis Camp where sports coaching and fun games is available on the following dates:
Wednesday & Thursday
Week 1 - 14th & 15th August
Week 2 - 21st & 22nd August
Week 3 - 28th & 29th August
Tots tennis 3 to 5 years: 9am to 10am = £5 per session £8 full week.
Mini Camp 6 to 12 years: 10am - 12pm = £10 per session £16 full week
