The Staffordshire Regiment Museum is inviting visitors to come along and experience how soldiers lived during World War 1.

With a remarkable 500ft trench system that is open to the elements, you will get a real feel for what life was really like including temperatures, what they ate, what they slept on, gas attacks and more.

Walk down into the trench and be greeted by the zip of sniper bullets and the thunder of heavy artillery guns, original signage will point you in the right direction.

The exciting, informative and interactive guided tours take place by uniformed re-enactors from 11am on May 26th 2014 and children who take part in the trench tour will also get the chance to try on period uniforms and hold weapons.

After you've walked in the Footsteps of Staffordshire Soldiers, finish off your tour with a cuppa and slice of cake in the ‘pop up cafe’.

Tickets are £3 for adults and £2 for children under 16, senior citizens and full-time students.

Family ticket (2 adults and up to three children) £6. Tours start at 11am, 12 noon and 1pm. There is ample free parking on site.

The trench and Museum are also fully accessible to wheelchair or disability-scooter users.
