Awards galore for Lichfield Roots & Folk Festival band!

Formed in early 2009 The Crows inexhaustible energy gives them stand alone status in the up-surging live music scene; boasting fiery fiddle playing, trumpet, guitar, drums, bass and vocals. Described as completely unique and uncontainable, an original Celtic vibe, also drawing influences from genres including jazz, ska, folk, kleizmer and blues. An unbridled festival sound, Crow ‘n’ Roll. Their latest album Bachannalia released in March this year was recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios with acclaimed producer by Nick Brine who has worked with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Oasis.

Lichfield Arts Director Chris Newcombe said: “I love this band! They are a class act but also one of the hardest working bands around so they really deserve their success. We are delighted to have them back in Lichfield.”

The festival starts on Friday 2nd November at Wade street Hall with the wonderful singer-songwriter Lucy Ward and continues at the Guildhall on Saturday 3rd with The Roving Crows and Something Nasty In The Woodshed and finishes on Sunday 4th with Kieran Goss and Aly Bain, Ale Möller & Bruce Molsky.

The Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions of RAFF are COMPLETELY FREEso come pop in have a drink and enjoy great music from some wonderful local bands.
