Armed Forces Day at National Arboretum

A wonderful day of family fun is just around the corner as The National Arboretum celebrate and commemorate Armed Forces Day.

Show your support for HM Armed Forces on Saturday 27th June 2015 at The National Arboretum.  Providing activities for the whole family, this yearly event is a chance for men, women and children to show their support to serving personnel, their families, veterans and cadet forces and the outstanding contribution they make.

The day will include the usual daily programme of events e.g. Daily Act of Remembrance, guided walks, buggy and land train tours as well as the following activities:

  • Defence Medical Services Whittington site display
  • Royal Naval Association talks at the Royal Naval Association Memorial
  • Baby bouldering wall*
  • Bouldering wall*
  • 9-metre climbing wall*
  • Spider Mountain and slide*
  • Archery*
  • Segways*
  • Zip line*
  • Musical entertainment – Military Band, Scout Band, Lichfield Rock Choir
  • Food and Gift Fair
  • Veterans’ Village
  • Themed guided walks* 

*a donation is suggested for these activities.

Whilst there are limited spaces in the main car park, they do have an overflow car park situated approximately 100 metres past the main car park entrance on Croxall Road. Visitors are welcome to drop and pick up passengers by the Visitor Centre.  

Blue Badge parking on the main car park is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and is situated near to the Visitor Centre.  

Time: Armed Forces Days 2015 will be open 9am – 5pm

Admission: Free entry although there will be a small charge for some activities.
