The Wild about Lichfield initiative has been launched as a partnership between the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Lichfield District Council and aims to help people explore the area and their local green spaces.

Being outside is excellent for improving wellbeing, confidence, mental health and physical health and the FREE events are aimed at adults and young people alike.

Here are the events taking place in and around Lichfield from now until end of August:

Wildlife Walk at Christian Fields LNR, Lichfield 

Saturday, 18th July 2015 from 10:00am - 12:00pm - this walk aims to help people discover the wildlife of this site on the edge of Lichfield.  Meet in the reserve car park.

Wildlife Walk at George's Hayes 

Wednesday, 22nd July from 10:00am - 12:00pm - go along and discover the wildlife of this great woodland reserve.  Meet at reserve car park.

Bat Walk at Gentleshaw Common 

Monday 3rd August from 9:00pm - 10:30pm – go along and discover the bats that use the reserve.  Meet at reserve car park.

Wetland Wildlife Walk at Croxall Lakes 

Saturday 8th August from 10:00am - 12:00pm – go along to discover the wildlife of this great wetland reserve.  Meet at reserve car park. 

SWT Lichfield Group: Walk: 'Woodlands and Washlands Walk' 

Saturday 15th August from 11:00am - 1:00pm – a walk led by Lawrence Oates on 'Woodlands and Washlands'.  Meet at Washlands car park at 11 am, Watson Street (At the end of), Burton-Upon-Trent,  Staffordshire, DE14 3RJ.
