Anyone for Tea?

Afternoon Tea Week is a celebration of one of the nation’s favourite traditions. Whether enjoyed in a 5-star hotel, favourite tea shop or as a home baked treat, as a country we love the combination of savoury and sweet treats, accompanied by some of the 165 million cups of tea we drink each day in the UK.

How about enjoying one in Lichfield’s favourite restaurant McKenzie's? We can personally recommend this one and the scotch eggs are fabulous. Not forgetting their McKenzie’s biscuits!

Or if you’re a lover of strawberries and fruit how about a trip out to The Strawberry Cabin at Manor Farm Fruits in Hints? Their afternoon teas will also tempt you to go back for more. Can't wait to try one of these next week.

If the weather is kind you could enjoy one in the quiet garden setting of Chapters - The Cafe in the Close . From a full afternoon tea or just a cream tea you decide.

If you have the children in tow, how about visiting Bradshaw's Farm Shop & Cafe in Burntwood? Where you can indulge in a selection of handmade sandwiches, homemade Cakes, Scones with clotted cream and jam, all served with tea or coffee. You can even treat yourselves to a sneaky glass of Prosecco! The children can feed the animals or keep busy in the play area.

You may want to host your own event, why not have a chat with Jan at The Pretty Little Parlour Company? You can hire all sorts of beautiful tea sets and accompaniments. (Tell them we sent you!)

It maybe worth booking to make sure they don't run out of your favourite cake.

Enjoy and let's eat cake!
