This weekend is the annual WW1 weekend at The Staffordshire Regiment Museum.

Taking place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September, visitors can join members of the museums education team (who will be dressed in period costume) on a tour of the museum's WW1 trench system.

What makes this tour even more wonderful, is that you will get the chance to walk through the 500ft long trench, look over the Firing Step, explore an Officer’s Dug Out and venture into a tunnel but be prepared for snipers and cries of "GAS"!!!

Why not chat to British Tommie's and German Soldiers whilst you're in the trenches!!

AND that's not all, a host of re-enactors will demonstrate how soldiers lived, worked and socialised.

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm on both days and shouldn't be missed.

Entry fees are £6 for adults, £4 for children under 16, senior citizens and full-time students and £18 for a family ticket that admits two adults and up to three children.
