Visiting the NMA is a profoundly moving experience. The NMA is a fitting tribute to all who made the ultimate sacrifice. The use of the natural world in the memorials was poignant.
The staff and volunteers were so friendly, helpful and dedicated. No question seemed to faze them.
The cafe served very tasty food at reasonable prices
The land train was a good way to see the site and get the lie of the land

It was a great day out with some of Staffordshires veterans, free entry and wander around at yours own pace or for a small charge someone will drive you around on a golf cart, really worth the visit, a chance to think and remember.

Please set aside a full day so you can get to see as much of the Arboretum. First visit but not the last.

Love this place! Always a great idea to visit There seems to be new memorials every time we visit. They now charge for motorcycle parking, but can get it discounted if prebook or you have a Ride to the Wall sticker/badge. Good cafe on site for coffee and cake or full meal

Fully deserving of a 5 star rating.
The spectacular and thought-provoking memorials are in a beautifully landscaped and scenic setting, and with pathways and walks (including a lovely riverside walk) which are wide and accessible for all.
Entry to the site is free, although charitable donations are welcomed and much deserved.
Car parking is accessible and can be pre-booked for £4, or pay £6 on the day.
A free site map can be collected at the main reception on entry, or a more detailed guide book can be purchased for £10.
Land train tours of the site with running commentary are available (cost up to £7.50 each) lasting 50 minutes.
Guided walks and buggy tours are also available at a small cost.
There are indoor exhibitions, a restaurant and a coffee shop with additional outside seating, and the gift shop is well worth a visit.
Accessible toilets are located near the main entrance, and also at several other locations across the site (port cabins).
There are a couple of children's play areas, several picnic areas, and a multitude of seats/benches located throughout the site which is extensive and may require more than one visit if you wish to see everything, with more than 400 memorials.
There are some areas that we didn't see, so will definitely return in the near future.
I've posted some photos and a couple of videos which will give you a flavour of what to expect if you decide to visit, which I highly recommend.

Playground: There are a couple of play areas, including one sensory area.

Restrooms: There are several memorial "huts" with seated areas.

Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on short leads at all times.
Not allowed in children's play areas, on the Armed Forces Memorial, land trains, buggies, and there are restrictions on indoor spaces.

Picnic area: There are several areas with picnic tables which are designated on the free map.

Very moving, thought-provoking and powerful, whilst at the same time being a lovely place to share time walking and enjoying the natural environment.

Playground: Looked good, no kids to test it though

Restrooms: Plenty

Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leads in all but a few places where respect is rightly requested

Picnic area: Didn't use the picnic area but it looked good

A good place that you can keep coming back to and discovering more areas. Busier or Sundays but good facilities and a large enough area that you can enjoy some peace and quiet and reflect.

An interesting place to visit, well maintained and easy to navigate. Was quite emotional at times, managed to locate my father's regimental memorial.

Lovely place to walk around and an example of how to honour the heroes that have given their life for our country. Plenty of helpful staff on hand. The gift shop has some lovely items. The only negative was the coffee shop, went in for a drink and a cream scone however the scone was stale and dry. Luckily I'd only bought one to share, we struggled to eat that even with cream and jam.

This was the briefest of visits. Unfortunately we arrived to very heavy rain and had no adequate clothing with us - it is summer!

We will revisit next time we are passing.

So much has changed as it has grown over the years. Looking at photos from when i first visited in 2016. It is an amazing place to visit, so much to see, can't see all in just 1 day. Would definitely recommend staying in a hotel and going for longer. Will be back in the very near future.

We went here when The donor family network had their memorial statue unveiled. We walked around the other amazing pieces dedicated to others in service. Highly recommend this place.

An unbelievably moving yet beautiful day. The grounds are immaculate, every statue so well placed to draw your attention. The trees are wondrous. Just to walk through and read some of the messages left is very affecting
The staff are the best we have ever come across. I mentioned a family story we weren't sure was true and Paul and then Fiona not only researched it but printed off a record showing it was in fact, true.
The 'Shot at Dawn' talk by Paul was exceptional (I may have to think of another word but it was!) Very thought provoking and informative but full of the stories of individuals which make it so much more poignant.
We finished our day with a buggy ride (well worth the £7.50 each) which took us to the furthest extent of the park and had the bonus of a wonderful commentary from John.
The food in the cafe was excellent but I can't comment on the Shop as they were closing as we left! Wonderful, thought provoking, moving yet calming experience.
