Recently visited with my wife after recommendations. What a evocative and emotional place the arboretum is. The grounds are stunning and the memorials are beautiful. So much work and planning has gone into it over the years, a beautiful and moving place to visit. You can spend hours, maybe days exploring here as there are so many memorials that are easily accessible by walking. There is a land train which you can use if you don't want to walk that offers some interesting information about each memorial enroute. The shot at dawn memorial was heartbreaking and extremely thought provoking. Try to get a volunteer to talk to about it if possible. The restaurant is also very nice with a great selection of food and drinks. Final word goes to the wonderful volunteers who are all friendly and approachable if you want any information. Their passion for the arboretum is so apparent for everyone to see.

The trees are well established now, and so different from our last visit. It is a place for quiet reflection, and has good facilities. You will walk a long way over your visit, or there are alternatives, so wear comfy footwear!

As an ex serviceman this was somewhere I had to visit. We pre booked a Monday visit assuming it would be very quiet and deserted. It was quiet but far from deserted. It was packed and testament to its attractiveness as an educational, representational and national place of remembrance. My wife and I were both moved by it’s tranquility, it’s breadth of subjects and the care and attention afforded to its layout. Thank you to everyone involved in the provision of this outstanding location. A fitting tribute to our fallen.

This is our second visit in 3 years. WHY? Because it is so damn good. We tell friends and work colleagues about this place and most of them dont know it even exists. How is this Britain's best kept secret? Lovely that it is not London centric for a change, gladdens my heart that it is run by volunteers and isn't funded by the government or national lottery and so can be the excellence that it truly is. Thank you.
