Really enjoyed this marvellous historic place. If you're thinking about going you already do not need me to push you along. This little city with its 2 cathedrals is a jewel not to be missed.

A decent venue, I find the value for money rather good and the seating and view to be pretty good. Staff are smiley and friendly. Great for local theatre, a good alternative to the big city venues.

Second year for us at the Panto... have to say I love it here and wouldn't go anywhere else now! Great show. Great seat. Fab staff and the cast are always a laugh! Had a great time and the kids love it too!!

Regularly visit the Garrick they have very good plays and groups bar facilities are good with reasonable service and staff

After a short trip around the centre my friend and I went to the Garrick theatre to see one man two governers. The Lichfield players put on a good show.

What an amazing show! The cast were so good and really funny. It could have been a west end production! The Garrick is a warm, friendly theatre and they put on top quality shows.

Lovely place to visit. Lots of old buildings that are well maintained. Please visit the Cathedral, it's absolutely magnificent. Great for walking round. Lots to do.

We went to see Prof Alice Roberts who was great. Nothing to be disappointed about with regards to her talk. The reason for not rating excellent was that the stage lighting needs looking at. When Alice stood on certain parts of the stage her face was in darkness with just the bottom half of her body lit up. I would have thought that in a theatre like they would have the lighting sorted. Still a great evening though.

Having lived near Lichfield for many years and attended numerous different types of events at the Garrick this is the first time i have wanted to complain. I did try to email them directly and avoid social media but received no response. The show ELO again was very entertaining and like with many tribute bands its the audience memory of songs they know and participation in singing along that make the event so enjoyable. Our seats were on the circle and when you see people down stair starting to stand up and dance you can feel a little jealous. Quite correctly i also saw Garrick staff asking the dancers to move to the side so as not block the view of other people which they did.
Obviously dancing in the main Circle isn't an option unless you are in one of the side boxes where standing up doesn't obstruct anyone else's view ( or that is how its always been until this show). Also a common occurrence at TRIBUTE band events is people taking photos which are shared as many have been on here. For us the whole evening was spoilt by a member of the Garrick staff who told the people in the box to stop dancing (I think she wanted them to sit down) then told my wife to stop taking pictures and then positioned herself at the end of the row and glared at everyone i assume to make sure there were no further infractions of her rules. It was noticeable that when at the end of the evening the band asked for any pictures taken to be uploaded and shared she quickly disappeared. which was a shame as i had intended to seek clarification from her!!!!!. If RULES have changed i think the Garrick needs to make it very clear, whats next " you must not join in with the singing" Great show shame about this member of hopefully (ex-staff). Mike
