This was our first visit to the Garrick but it certainly won't be our last. Good views from all around the theatre and excellent acoustics.

Lichfield Garrick is a great venue, having a theatre and a studio - both are very good. Staff always friendly and helpful and bar is quick moving, so no long queues.

Good acoustics, you can have a drink beforehand or in the interval.
Location is excellent.
Exterior design leaves a lot to be desired, but for that part of Lichfield it's better than a boarded up gravel pile so beggars can't be choosers.

Great small theatre and because it’s small you can always get a good view. Reasonably priced shows and easy to get to by public transport as it’s a stones throw away from the bus station. The reason I’ve dropped a star is because the bar is not a comfortable area. Also last week when we visited it was so hot it was stifling in the bar. We were hoping it was going to be cooler in the theatre itself but sadly when we got to our seats it was still way too hot. I thought maybe it was just me but then heard many people complaining about it, including a member of staff who said they were trying to sort it out. Unfortunately they didn’t.

Our second visit - both were to Christmas Pantomimes. We (the grandparents), our daughter and son-in-law and our 5 year old grandson thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Beauty and the Beast. We all had a good time and would recommend the venue.
Edit: since the original review we have moved house from London to Lichfield and become members. Cannot fault the place!

I recently saw Rock of Ages at this venue and had an incredible experience. The atmosphere was electric, the acoustics were spot-on, and the staff were welcoming and well-organized. The seating offered great views, and the lighting and sound design really brought the performance to life. It was the perfect setting for such a high-energy show. Would definitely return for another night of entertainment! Location just by the edge of high street with plenty parking spaces just minutes away.
