We went to see Mark Simmons at the Garrick in Lichfield. There is free parking a stones throw away if you arrive after 6.30pm. The theatre itself is comfortable and well organised and the staff were friendly and helpful. The show itself was hilarious ( did i say he was a comedian??!!).

Great local theatre with comfy seats and good sight lines. We saw a comedy show and sat at the back of the stalls. Very easy to find with cheap local parking available just a few minutes walk away.

Rugeley Regnal mens' circle visited The Lichfield Garrick theatre yesterday to have a guided tour. Our excellent guide, Sophie, was full of lively interest and her enthusiasm for theatre gave us a brilliant experience and eye opening memory.
We congratulate the theatre for being so community minded and Sophie for being an outsrtanding guide.

Lovely small theatre.

Plenty of space in your seats

Easy to find which door to use and your seat.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Toilets were unpleasantly fragrant.

More bar staff required as queues were 15 mins long

We’ve been a few times to the Garrick and to be honest, if you’ve never been, you don’t know what you’re missing.
The ‘History of Rock’ was a fantastic night and the group and singers did a fantastic job of taking you through the history of rock during its finest period, the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Set out in two sessions with a refreshment break between it is a joy to behold.
Moving onto this year and we decided to try the experience again, this time for, the ‘History of Soul’ a strange combination I know but if your motivational teenage years were the seventies, you’ll understand.
Soul from the 60’s and 70’s was to be honest, another great night that brought back great memories from what is, if I’m honest, musics finest period, I’m biased but hey ho.
Again a great cast put on what was a fine rendition of some of soul’s greatest hits, the lads and lasses set up was great and on the occasions they combined, more so.
If you like either, or indeed like most of us from the period, both, give it a try, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
