My husband and myself took our 4 year old grandson to see the show. We were disappointed that it only lasted 30 minutes. Took us longer to travel there. Not good value for money. Cost us £25.50 for 3 tickets and was over in a flash.

Extremely helpful staff. Efficiently run with Covid protocols followed but in such a way that it didn't feel restrictive.

We watched recently the online panto jack and the beanstalk. I thought it was a brilliant idea and was lovely to watch.

It will never replace the theatre experience but well done Garrick in putting it on and well done to Sam and all the cast - can’t be easy keeping the same levels of enthusiasm and enjoyment with no live audience - by the end we were shouting and booing as if we were there rather than at home.

Thank you for giving us a simple pleasure in what has been a dreadful year

We booked tickets for this live screening in the cinema a few weeks ago for last Saturday night. As the box office is only open for a few hours Fridays and Saturdays I decided to ring Friday lunchtime to see if the performance was going ahead and find out how long the running time was for. Because of the reduced hours I was placed in a queue on the phone for around 20-25 minutes. Anyway when I was put through the lady said the screening was still going ahead but she didn't know how long the running time was for. After I finished my phone call and looked at my emails I had received an email from the Garrick reminding me of my booking. Surely, if this had been sent out earlier in the day it would have avoided anyone having to ring up to see if the performance was going ahead. When we arrived at the Garrick there was a social distancing queue and plenty of santiser and when everyone was seated there was only about 15-20 people there. The performance, which was more of a documentary, was very interesting and enjoyable but after around 90 minutes the credits came up, we were surprised to find that was the end and everyone got up and left. Surely this should be reflected in the price of the tickets, because we have been to cinema screenings here before and they have been much longer than this.

The Lichfield Garrick is an excellent local theatre which always shows good plays/films etc. and encourages local participation with productions. There is plenty of parking/pubs and restaurants nearby.
My wife and I are regular clients of the theatre and have seen quite a few performances , each have been excellent. Spamalot was brilliant and had us laughing from beginning to end and the latest play , The Cat and canary was a wonderful production with good solid acting from all caste, a good set of famous names which gave a great performance. I would recommend the theatre to one and all. Expect high prices in the bar, but apart from that a great matinee or evening performance awaits.

My husband and T went to see Spamalot by Lichfield Operatic Society at The Garrick yesterday afternoon. The show was great. Performances were really good. Excellent facilities and good views from circle. Seats a little compact for those with long legs. We left it a bit late to arrive and had difficulty getting a space in the adjacent car park - should have allowed more time!!!

Absolutely brilliant! I truly do not think a professional cast could have done better. It was amazing from start to finish and we came out with large smiles on our faces. the talent in the cast and orchestra was staggering and the amount of back-room work that must of gone on to produce such a spectacular production

I went to see Jane Eyre at the Garrick Theatre on Saturday 15 February 2020 with a friend. The play was brilliantly and cleverly done. There were only 5 actors on stage doing different parts apart from who played Jane Eyre as she was hardly off stage and also narrated the story within her role. The set was minimal but effective and the atmospheric music played by four of the actors was really good. Look out for Blackeyed Theatre as they have very talented actors and look forward to seeing further plays of theirs at the Garrick Theatre.

Overall good experience. Very cold in the theatre. Tickets expensive compared to other theatres. Play odd but ok.

We’ve seen so many wonderful musicals and plays there. Now they are showing new films too! A real gem in Lichfield.

First time I've seen a live recording, yes there were problems to start with, and maybe with a little more organising it could of gone smoother. We didn't miss any of the main production
I like the extra leg room, great use of space in the theatre. Good to see a full house.

We visited the Garrick to see a screening of La Boheme from Convent Garden which was due to start in the Studio at 2pm. We arrived just after 1.30 pm and we were told to go to the theatre cafe where we could gain entry to the studio. When we went into the cafe there were lots of people also waiting to go into the studio. We were still waiting at 1.50 pm, lots of people were in their 70s and 80s and some had walking difficulties and there were only a few seats around. There was no announcement to apologise for the delay going in so this lady in front of us went to the Theatre foyer to ask what the problem was and they said there were experiencing technical problems. We finally went in around 2.05pm and because it was being screened around the country the introduction had already began. If the Garrick are to continue having these screenings in the studio, they need to be better organised because everyone has paid good money for their tickets and it's not fair to treat their customers in this manner.

Having said that we had very good seats and La Boheme was excellent and we really enjoyed it.

The Studio has recently been refurbished and converted for use as a small theater or Film Studio.
The seating is really well laid out and comfortable even for long shows and films.
The Studio puts on new films and Live Recording Film productions from the West End.
The Garrick has two bars and a cafe lounge area for customer relaxation. We had a really good evening watching the "Who Done It " film "Knives Out" which was a really well produced film, full of suspense, humour and more twists and turns than a corkscrew.

We booked the Paul McCartney songbook show to tie in with an anniversary break in Lichfield. The Garrick is very close to the city centre and there is ample parking a couple of minutes walk away. We have been there a few times and always enjoy the shows they have on, we both really enjoyed this one. The only slightly annoying thing is that they would not let us into the auditorium until about 15 minutes before the show started, the waiting areas were packed by this time and then it was a crush for everyone to get in.
But its a lovely theatre in a lovely city.
