My wife and I had to move back to France in a hurry following a family emergency.
We hired Franklin's Removals for the packing, the loading and unloading.
From the get go they were extremely responsive and I had a phone call where we discussed access to the property via Google maps.
They were reachable through text messages and would usually respond quite quickly especially when came the time to fill up all the paperwork that concerns the crossing of the border from the UK to France post-brexit.
The lads who packed, loaded and then unloaded were all delightful and equally efficient. They followed our requests to the letter and were amenable.
The boxes were well labeled and everything was well packed to the point the only damage we noticed was a slight chip at the corner of a desk.
Our belongings were loaded in Halesowen UK and delivered in Saint Loup France in 3 days only.
I need to give special commendation to Kieran, the young truck driver who successfully manoeuvred the truck in reverse in a very narrow street without even a chip.

From the very first time we contacted Ben at Franklins we just knew we were in good hands for our overseas removal to our new home in SW France. The guys loaded everything up in the UK and arrived on time the following week to unload. Nothing was too much trouble and they all worked so hard to get the job completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. I found Franklins to be extremally helpful in getting my things returned to the UK, Brexit and COVID certainly made things more difficult but Ben always provided the correct information and answers to my questions and my goods cleared customs without problems, things were a little more difficult because of where I lived in rural Brittany but that was to be expected, I found the two guys that turned up to collect my things to be polite and very helpful, I would highly recommend this company.

Excellent !! Got a quote as they had been recommended by a friend. Quote was comparable to others received, maybe slightly higher overall but being recommended we went with them and didn't regret it. Pete, Kieran, Dean and Jordan worked really hard all day after a colleague went home ill. Arrived 7.45 and didn't leave the new house until over 11 hours later yet nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely use them again.

There isn't one aspect of the service that Franklin's provided that I could criticise. Contact with Ben in the office was kept simple, brief and to the point, as it should be. The flow of information and ever changing paperwork requirements was never over-complicated and covid 19 /Brexit didn't interfere with the process of getting the contents of our home at the very bottom of France up to the Derbyshire Peaks, bang on time and all in one piece. The guys doing the hard work, Lee, Simon and Pete were fantastic. Polite, professional and passionate about their work, all of which serves to ease any worries you may have during what can be a very stressful experience. I heartily recommend Franklin's Removals and will use them in the future if and when the need arises

Franklins made moving from France back to England so much simpler helping us every step of the way. Having agreed the sale of our house in October, due to Covid lockdown delays the move wasn’t possible until after Brexit. Despite having their own problems coping with all the new import requirements and paperwork for all their moves after Brexit, the personal service received from Ben Franklin was outstanding. Ben sourced all the mountain of paperwork needed for HMRC and supported us with the task of completing it. On moving day, Lee and Simon turned up on the dot as agreed: they were friendly and personable, quickly and efficiently completing the removal. Due to a delay in our house purchase everything had to go into storage, and we were delighted to get a call from Ben to reassure us that it had all got through customs and had arrived safely at their depot. So pleased we chose Franklins for our move.
The delivery of our belongings from storage, which was the second part of our move from France to England was completed just as carefully and efficiently as the first. The team liaised with our daughter, who was waiting to see the furniture in, regarding their arrival time so that she didn't have to wait around at the empty house unnecessarily. She said that Kieran, Pete and Dean were great - quick, friendly and efficient - and they did lots of little things (like sorting wires out so that she could plug appliances in easily) that made her day so much more manageable. Thanks again to the wonderful team at Franklins, we would highly recommend them for a stress-free house move.

A huge THANK YOU to the team at Franklins! Moving to France during the Covid pandemic and Brexit, created a myriad of additional complications, from endless bits of paperwork to satisfy French customs post Brexit, forever changing border closures and Covid negative test requirements, and snow storms, didn't deter the team at Franklins from moving all my furniture and belongings from London & Scotland to rural France.
Ben was always available to help with any last minute requests and obstacles, like packing up my entire house as I couldn’t get back to London from France due to border closures, a detour to Scotland to pick up some family antiques during a snow storm, and last minute storage requirements as Brexit thwarted the first delivery attempt. So when Simon and Lee pulled up my driveway within 30 minutes of their ETA, I was over the moon. There was no messing around unloading their truck. They were efficient and fast (perhaps helped by the endless cups of coffee I was offering them) and loads of smiles and laughter with not a single item broken.
I’m not planning to move again anytime soon, but if I do, I won’t hesitate to use Franklins.

From the initial contact with Ben Franklin, communication has been excellent. The team that put our belongings in storage were professional, polite and efficient. Franklins negotiated the paperwork and complexity of Brexit with a dogged determination to deliver our things to France, which they did magnificently. Franklin’s were absolutely brilliant!
Kieran Simon & Pete moved us out of house on a Thursday - stored furniture overnight and delivered to our cottage in the Friday ... which had its challenges, but they were fantastic and got our furniture in!

Thanks to Simon, Pete, Dean and Kieran. Our move was text book, everything went to plan and at the end of a long day the lads left us feeling happy in our new home. Whilst it was another day in the office for Franklins, we were apprehensive about the move but thanks to their professional and nothing was a problem approach, all went well on the day. No damage to either house and there were some REALLY heavy items moved. A great service - the transport of our furniture from France to UK was carried out very professionally. Simon, Pete and Lee were fantastic - they were very careful with everything and so efficient. They could not have done more - we were very impressed by them. The lorry was loaded the French end quickly and methodically and brought over to the UK and unloaded in the same way. Pete and Kieran collected the contents of our house in Provence, dividing the contents into two deliveries all from a list of contents and Watsapp video calls with me, as I was unable to travel to the house. They arrived at the house at 7.30am, worked into the night, packing and loading a five bedroom house in one day. Two more charming, helpful and cheery guys it would be hard to find. I would recommend Franklins without hesitation, they are everything that I hoped they would be when I saw they were a family owned company with great reviews. We booked Franklins Removals on the basis of their excellent Google reviews and these reviews speak the truth! Moving our entire lives to France between lockdowns could have been a very stressful experience, but as soon as Lee and Pete arrived - bang on time - we instantly relaxed. They were nothing short of amazing. They were reassuring, friendly , nothing was too complicated - ours was a difficult, heavy move - and their teamwork was inspirational. We highly recommend Franklins services - AND their prices are good too. Keep these lovely guys going all day on coffees with milk and one sugar, and moving house is suddenly no longer the trauma we all expect it to be!

Our move was very local and it was professionally and extremely well handled by Franklins over three days. Many companies were unwilling to visit us for a quote but Ben Franklin carried out this task quickly and efficiently, complying with present COVID protocols. All members of the removal team were cheerful and willing in spite of late access to our new property. Specifically we appreciated help from Sean and Dean.

After obtaining several quotes for our move from the UK to France, we chose Franklins Removals and boy are we glad that we did. We required a full packing, removal/storage and relocation option. Quotes from various competitors ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous. We opted for Franklins because we were impressed with their efficiency, excellent communication, experience and pricing structure which was transparent. We also wanted our belongings stored safely in the UK for a number of months before being delivered to us in France. For various reasons, ours was a difficult move from our house in SE France back to the UK, and not just because of the pandemic. From the outset Franklyns were a brilliant company to deal with. Ben was efficient and reassuring, and kept in touch every step of the way. The team on the lorry, Stu and Lee could not have been more helpful. They called me on arrival at the house and double checked with me before they left to come home. On their arrival back in the UK, it was lovely to put faces to voices, and Stu and Lee had both done a superb job of packing up our belongings and treating them with care.
