Friday 4th September


China Black
– live at Jukebox in Leicester. Doors open at 7pm

Tea and History: Food Glorious Food – 1:30pm to 3:30pm at Newarke Museums - Travel back in time with our event focusing on food from the past.

 

Saturday 5th September


Leicester Pride
- Leicester Pride is Leicester’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) festival and is a colourful and vibrant event celebrating diversity and freedom of expression.  The festival starts with a spectacular parade through the city and on to the ever popular event on Victoria Park which includes live music, market stalls, funfair rides and health and wellbeing information.

Saturday Art Club @ Beaumont Leys Library, 10:00am until 1:00pm - the sessions are run by local artist Lorraine McCollin and each session will have a different theme. 

Outdoor Shakespeare: William Shakespeare’s Henry IV (Parts I & II) at Jewry Wall Museum - a superb outdoor production in the atmospheric surroundings of the Jewry Wall Roman ruins. Grounds open for picnics at 6.30pm.

Seaside Special Steam Day - at Abbey Pumping Station, 12pm to 5pm. Enjoy the sun, sea and sand once again, bring your swimsuit and join us on the museum’s beach or relax in a deck chair while the children build sand castles and search for sea shells. Experience all the sights and sounds of a traditional day at the seaside without the travelling!

SUMMER SIZZLER 2015
at Sandhurst Street, 11am to 5pm. Food and Drink, BBQ, Fashion, Henna, Ice Cream, Bouncy Castle and more.
