The Rainbow Ride
- Join the Rainbow Ride as part of Ride Leicester festival. A themed ride celebrating Leicester’s pride and ride festivals. Dress yourself and your bike in the colours of the rainbow. Time: 6pm at The Curve, Orton Square.

Summer Art Trail (Saturday 22 – Monday 31 August). City Wid - Exhibitions and events are held across the city; celebrating art, film, photography, installation, spoken word and music. The trail features different venues within walking distance of each other. Experience and take part in some of the best local and national visual art, performances, workshops, spoken word and pop–up stalls.

Pay Day BBQ @ The Orange Tree - Pay Day is the best day! This summer The Orange Tree is helping you celebrate the last Friday of every month with a BBQ and outside cocktail bar. What's better than burgers and Mojitos in the sunshine? 7pm to 9pm. 


Saturday 29th August 2015


City Music Stage
, 2pm – 9pm, Jubilee Square - Part of the Cosmopolitan Carnival, this will come together in an all-day festival on Jubilee Square where the venues of Leicester have each chosen a band to represent them, their style and the broad range of music that this city creates.

City Festival: Teddy bears picnic, 11am - 3.30pm @ Newarke Houses Museum. Come and meet the Newarke Houses Bear. Bring your own bear and picnic to eat in the garden and take part in bear craft activities. £2.50 charge for activities. Refreshments available.

Pete Morton, 8pm at The Guildhall - Pete Morton is a songwriter, singer and ‘folk rapper’ with a wealth of great songs and stage presence. Booking advised. Tickets: £8 / £6

Leicester Wheels for All - 10am - 6pm at Braunstone Leicester Centre. Bike try-out for disabled riders and those with special needs.

Sky Ride Leicester - 
10am - 4pm, City wide. Go along and discover the city by bike; join the Uk's biggest family-friendly Sky Ride round 8km of Leicester's streets. Route includes a ride through King Power Stadium, Leicester Castle, past KRIII Visitor Centre and the Cultural Quarter. Registration not essential but freebies if you do.

Heritage Sundays: Tours and open days, 11am – 3pm at The Magazine, Wygston's House and Leicester Castle. On the last Sunday of the month , these venue are open to the public, with visitors invited to explore the buildings on their own or book onto a guided tour with one of our expert Blue Badge guides. Booking essential. Each Tour lasts one hour. £2.50 per tour.

City Festival: Leicester Castle Tells its Story - 11:00am until 3:00pm at Leicester Castle - An exciting digital heritage project. Bring your tablets and smartphones to listen to the voices of those who worked at the Castle courtrooms.

Journeys Festival 11am to 4pm. Live music stage in Orton Square, presenting an inspiring range of music reflecting the talents of Refugee Artists. 

WestivalA full programme of live music and entertainment as well as a street market and craft fair.
