High Street Toy Store Dominoes of Leicester Ltd and Withers Sports have today signed a new deal that will bring the two successful businesses closer together.

Withers Sports established in the early 1940’s by Mr John Albert Withers is currently based in Market Street.  Following the retirement of his son Robert Withers last year, Steve Brett, who has worked in partnership with Mr Withers for many years was pleased to take on the successful sports store. To further improve the business Steve wanted to relocate the store to the High Street and Leicester Lanes area of the city centre.

After approaching Dominoes owner and Chairman Steven Sansom, a deal has been agreed for the lease of Dominoes Carts Lane Premises to become the brand new Withers Sports Store.

The two companies have much in common, both received prestigious awards last year; Dominoes for Best Independent Toy Shop and Withers for Best Independent Sports Shop. The 2 companies are also established family businesses and are keen to continue to offer the people of Leicester the most up to date ranges as possible.

Steven Sansom of Dominoes commented “We are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to Withers and it will be a great addition to Carts Lane”.

The new store is planned to open later this Spring.
