Have you heard about the 'Kettering Incident'?
This incident has been on the internet for a while now and is the inspiration for a TV series in Australia!
It involves a mysterious disappearance of Frederick Valentich in 1978 after reporting a UFO while he was flying.
The show called The Kettering Incident revolves around fictional but mysterious disappearances in the Tasmanian bush, the disappearance of Frederick Valentich was very real.
Valentich was a 20-year-old pilot who went missing over Bass Strait in 1978, leaving nothing behind except a mysterious radio transmission.
The sighting was many thousands of miles away on the other side of the world and not in our Kettering!
BUT it is always interesting and something that involves our namesake town.
