So what qualifies me to write this and why should you read?


Well I have worked in kitchens, hotels, restaurants and bars for around 12 years. I have worked in all manner of establishments from fine dining to fast food and everything in between.

I have travelled the country cooking at events, functions and serving stars and royalty. I have cooked a la carte, banqueting and private dining menus amongst others.

I also have a long front of house history from serving hot dogs and beer in the kiosks at Wembley and Twickenham to silver serving the likes of Elton John.

I have a long list of formal catering qualifications and years of experience. I have always been interested in food and love good food, good service and good value. I believe you do not need to go to Michelin rated restaurants to get quality food and there are hundreds of hidden gems all around the country.

I will feature sandwich shops, chain restaurants and diners on this blog and share with you any stars that I uncover. Over the years I have refined 100s of menus and recipes, I have cooked them all extensively so I know they work!
