• Leaving employment part way through the tax year. The PAYE system will have calculated your monthly tax assuming you would be there all year.
• If you are a higher rate taxpayer and make personal pension contributions.
• If you are a higher rate taxpayer and have made gift aid payments.
• Where you employer reimburses less than 45p per mile for business mileage.
• If you have had more than one employment in a tax year. The PAYE system may not have kept up.
