Very pleasant village pub, with a smallish but interesting menu. I was there on a Tuesday - pie night - and so I had the chilli beef pie with mash and veg. There were three real ales and one real cider on hand pumps. I had the Blackberry and Apple cider which was most pleasant - not too sweet. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Will I go back again? You can bet I will.

Had a meal with family last night. Food was good but the slate we had our mains on, only 6 inches wide was very poor, lamb shank and gravy Does not sit well on it. But we did have free puddings and the beer was good along with the staff.

Walked in on a Sunday at lunchtime. Fully booked but they said we could have a table if we didn't mind leaving at 2.30pm before the other people who's table it was arrived. We grabbed the table and glad we did! They gave us some time to choose something nice. They then made sure we were looked after. Fabulous food..great beer..lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back but make sure we book next time!
