GRADUATE MILLINERS POP-UP TO MAKE THEIR DEBUT

A group of hat designers from Kensington and Chelsea College brought their bespoke creations to the streets of London recently with their very own pop-up shop.

The group of 11 designers first met as students on the college’s internationally renowned Millinery Course, where they formed the brand ‘The Hat Collective’.

Having recently graduated from their course the group pulled their talents together to open their first pop-up shop in Kingly Court, London.

The exciting new generation of hat designers and makers each have their own individual style, ensuring that their clients always find the perfect hat to suit them.

Following a successful opening in early August, the pop-up store has attracted a large fan-base and a regular influx of customers, all eager to snap up the latest designer collection of hats and headpieces. The store is open until the end of September.

Awon Golding, one of the 11 designers involved in the ‘Hat Collective’, said: “We're all very excited about our joint endeavour as it's our first step out into the real world as milliners. It's cemented our desires to be working hat makers.
“We're using the first pop-up shop as a jumping off point for other creative projects, so our fans should stay tuned for more pop-up shops, exhibitions and other exciting things in the future!”

The collections range between £60 and £600 and can be bought as bespoke pieces or ready to wear.

‘The Hat Collective’ designers are: Angela Bruce, Kate Underdown, Rebecca Coffee, Anna Pulleyn, Hannah Kates-Morgan, Beth Simpson, Awon Golding, Ellen Bowden, Mandy McGregor, Rachel Fallon and Eliane Lax.
