Took part in the tour on tues (30th May) john was a fantastic funny guide, with a great passion for his work. It was my wifes birthday and he got the group to sing happy birthday to her.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting jersey.
Oh the wines are lovely; the jersey apple brandy cream 👌👌
Theres a shop in the airport departures which sells all La Mares goods which opened at 0800hrs which we made use of.

Guide was very good and informative but I think it was expensive had a drop each of red white and rosé wine a couple of quick videos and a talk about how sparkling wine and apple brandy was made but no samples of either also no mention of the gin they produce as for the black butter we could sample in the shop I would have thought some information of how it was made would have been nice

Helen was a great host for our tour.
We got there every early for our booking, but as there was only two of us they let us join the group that has just gone in. Tha!
Highly recommended. Beautiful location, great price, make sure you go premium.

The vineyard is about a 30 minute trip on the bus from St Helier. My wife and I had booked a vineyard tour and tasting. The vineyard "tour" part was lacking. There was no walking through the vines with only a brief explanation of which grapes are grown and when they are harvested. The tour guide we found to be slightly rude, assuming that no one there knew anything about wine and being very dismissive of questions. There were 22 people in our tour which was perhaps too large to make it an enjoyable experience. The wines tasted were "ok". No tasting of the sparkling wine however because "the MD won't allow it". There was also a wedding on during our tour, meaning the restaurant was closed early. Our experience of the vineyard was disappointing, we have definitely had better, more informative and enthusiastic tours by wine makers. This is not somewhere we will be returning to.

Highly recommend! We did the premium tour and were shown around by Helen who was very engaging and knowledgeable. We then enjoyed a stroll around the grounds and had lunch at the cafe which was amazing value for money. Food delicious and was just perfect sitting out in the sun, drinking the wine and cider we'd just learnt about. We enjoyed meeting Roger the rooster! And good luck to Elizabeth who was doing some training on our tour. We'll be back!

The wine tour was interesting if a little short. We had some samples as well, which was very nice.

The cafe offer some excellent food. Was very easy to access on the bus, and a shirt walk to devils hole.

Great way to spend a couple of hours
