Nice winery on the island. We did a classic guided winery tour for a good introduction of the wine produce in Jersey - which are towards the lighter bodied end.

Went just before lunch, number 12 bus from town and managed to get on a tour without booking. Delicious cream tea with lots of samples on the tour we did with Helen who was great, both informative and fun. Called in the shop for more samples from the various jars. We bought some bottles only available on Jersey to purchase 👍😋❤️

Booked a Sunday roast and it was really good! Not a fan of yorkshire pudding but was surprised it was so tasty and really good beef and sauce! Overall want to go back again. Good view especially the garden and location.

Great afternoon spent in the grounds of La Mare Wine Estate - we booked the Tour and then relaxed in the gardens afterwards, soaking up the atmosphere.
Chantel was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine was delicious.

Really enjoyed our visit to La Mare. We’re South African so we know a thing or two about good wine and we were very pleasantly surprised by how good their red wine is, very smooth and easy to drink. Their apple brandy and black butter are also excellent.
We also have to give a huge shout out to all the staff there. While we on our tour and tasting we got some bad news and all the staff were so compassionate and kind. We honestly can’t thank you enough.
For anyone wanting to go to La Mare, I would say the best time of year to go is probably in summer as that’s when the vines will be looking their best.

We visited La Mare Estate today for their wine tasting experience. The weather wasn’t great but that made no difference. The grounds are beautiful, the buildings are clean and well presented. The staff were all lovely and friendly especially John, our tour guide. Very informative, extremely friendly and welcoming. I was a bit dubious as some reviews said it wasn’t worth the money, in my opinion it was well worth it. If you’re expecting to spend 15quid to get pissed at a vineyard, you’re missing the point. Thank you all for a lovely afternoon.

Eigentlich wollten wir nur das Café und den Shop besuchen. Wir haben uns dann aber spontan für eine Führung mit Verkostung entschieden. Wir wurden von Bob geführt, der nicht nur einen feinen Humor hatte, sondern uns auch sehr gut in die Arbeitsprozesse eines Weingutes und seine Geschichte eingeführt hat. Dazu hatten wir im Oktober noch strahlenden Sonnenschein, so dass wir nach der Führung noch auf der Wiese vor dem Café Tee und Scones mit Black butter genießen durften. Das Konzept des Unternehmens geht auf. Danach waren wir noch im Shop und haben uns für Zuhause vor allem mit "Black butter" eingedeckt. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Nachmittag mit einem durch die Weinprobe fairen Preis.

We had a wonderful experience at La Mare wine estate, I would highly recommend it, the staff we're all very helpful, the grounds, beautiful, the food offering excellent. We were taken through the process of wine making in a relaxed and friendly manner, our guide Freyja was excellent, delivered a faultless, informative and interesting tour through the history of the island, the vineyard, and of course the wines, tasting as you go. What a great way to spend a couple of hours on this lovely island.
