Small but perfectly formed. Wonderful place that is so much more than just a zoo.

Durrell has been at the forefront of conservation around the world and has saved many environments and species through thier breeding orphans.
This is not a zoo, this is a conservation centre and a such the animals are all endangered. A beautiful day out with the chance to get close to some of the most amazing creatures on earth.

The best zoo I have visited . Very informative, doing a lot of work for nature . All the animals and birds had very natural areas set in beautiful surroundings. The cafe was a plus with great food and drinks at good prices . The shop is very good for children.

Great day out. You need to allow 3 or 4 hrs to get round all of the animals and birds
Three are regular taps by the team throughout the day for the orangutans and gorillas.
Nice cafe at the end for a cup of tea

A great day out. I started in the Firefly cafe. Service was a bit disorganised and she tried charging me twice for my tea, but the breakfast was very nice. Keeper talks are highly recommended but get there in plenty of time, particularly for seats at the gorillas. If you are taking your own lunch, there is s little used picnic spot in the orchard which is through the organic garden. Tranquil and quiet. Worthwhile experience!

Jersey Zoo is a wonderful tribute to Gerald Durrell and his wildlife work. The zoo has obviously been put together with love and dedication, but is now in places starting to look a bit tired, which I'm sure the Zoo custodians have in hand. Try & attend the various keeper talks that happen throughout the day which give a great insight into the various animals and their welfare. Don't forget to buy a coffee & cake in the restaurant as you leave. Lovely cakes!

Excellent visit. Very educational and the guides were informative and knowledgeable. Beware of the howler monkeys in the chestnut tree, they can catch you by surprise and be very loud!! Great little zoo and easy to get round. Definitely worth the money
