What this zoo does, it does incredibly well. The only caveat is that it is all about conservation and with limited space, there are no big game animals. However don't let that put you off. There is lots to see, amphibians, snakes, monkeys, meerkats, lots of birds, wild pigs, orangutans and much more.
Our food from the largest cafe was reasonably priced and tasty.
There are keeper talks which are clearly advertised as well as a large well stocked gift shop.
When visiting Jersey, this is one of the top 5 things you must do.

We were surprised at how many new species we learnt about. I bought a book from the charity book booth for £1, additional donations are always welcomed.

We spent about 2 hours here.

This is not a zoo but a home for endangered species. The work carried out here and passion to protect is evident all around. An amazing place with a new addition of the butterfly kaleidoscope - like being in another world full of colour and flight.

Nydelig dyrehage hvor alle dyr har stor boltreplass. Truede dyrearter.

I'm not usually one for zoos, but this one felt different. The animals looked well cared for and only one (a bear) was stereotyping. Big enclosures for all and great viewing places for the public. The quietness of the venue was very relaxing.

Food was reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Portion sizes were very good, so do make sure you're hungry.

If I had any advice it would be arrive early, not because it's crowded, but because it feels like there's just you in the park.

Great place to learn, discover and have fun. It took us 5 hours to see everything, with a little lunch break at zoo cafe. I love that animals here have lots of space and you can tell they are well looked after. The keepers are so enthusiastic and genuinely love their jobs. Definitely take part some of the talks and be there at feeding times. My favourite part of the zoo are reptile house with tiny blue frogs, butterfly house and the most interesting place was fruit bat house
