Some beautiful animals and interesting information about the founder Gerald Durrell. There appears to be a lot of work underway in improving the enclosures, which is good but limits what can be seen.
(The cafe area is extremely noisy and busy but that is due to the indoor play area!)Overall a wonderful, relaxing place to visit., beautiful grounds.A very good gift shop.

A peaceful idyll that every animal lover and anyone interested in conservation should visit. My favourite was the Orangutans and giant tortoises.

A great zoo with some interesting animals.
Two nice cafes, one at the entrance and one inside the complex.
Nice surroundings and somewhere to relax whilst visiting the animals.

Amazing zoo. Animal's welfare definitely comes first unlike other zoos. Beautifully designed.
Highly recommend the Bat Roost and Gerald Durrell Story exhibit.
Keepers were super friendly and we felt privileged for many long one to one conversations in which they shared their passion and outstanding knowledge of their animals.
Dodo Cafe was clean and staff welcoming. Lovely Gift Shop too.
This zoo visit was a highlight of our holiday.
THANK YOU

We were able to hire a disability scooter. This was very helpful for my husband for getting around. Some compounds looked empty.

It's good to see obviously happy animals in an environment that suits.

Visited on a warm & sunny day - perhaps too warm for some of the larger animals, who tended to stay indoors resting. The rest still good to visit. The cafe is OK but during our visit, too many young children (under school age) running about in and around the play area uncontrolled, screaming for no good reason, as none were in danger but seemingly the parents or guardians impervious to the noisy disturbances. Best to go later in the day.

Bus travel worked well. Plenty of space and good to explore at leisurely pace. Good information provided and interesting talks by staff. Worth a visit.

Phenomenal!
Not like other zoo's as such, this has a much more let's look after the animals than just look at the animals. This makes the whole nature of the visit much more pleasurable and it's always good to learn how we can look after them. They whole place is such a beautiful setting with flora and fauna to suit, it all has that relaxed Jersey vibe. Only went with staying a few hours in mind but arrived at 10:30 and didn't leave till closing.

Loved it! Now my favourite zoo

Lots to see here. Thankfully it is not a zoo in the way many of us were exposed to. Bored animals in bare cages. It is a fabulous advert for the foundations work. That you have to sit quietly and wait for some of the animals to show themselves is not a bad thing. If you do nothing else sit down in the butterfly Kaliedascope, be still, and just marvell at the colours that skip around you.
