If an offer sounds too good to be true, it usually is. But when the offer comes from a supermarket giant like Asda, why wouldn't you believe it.
When a '£75 Off Your Shopping' voucher appeared on Asda's website, as you would expect it got a great response. Those ordering got a call to say that their orders would be delivered, and then a second call from Asda customer services telling them that the offer was not available and they could pay in full or cancel.
Asda are investigating the incident and how the 'offer' , which they say was not genuine, came to appear on their website.
Customers who were affected are waiting for an explanation, but it will take some time to restore confidence amongs shoppers.
