A weekend visit to the Great Northern Retail Park on Leeds Road in Huddersfield is a nightmare. The traffic management system, and the layout of the car park simply don't work effectively. Enter the car park when busy, and queue for an hour to get out!
Sunday - poor weather but a chance to go to the cinama with my family. Only 2pm (film didn't start until 2.45pm at Cineworld just down the road), so just wanted to quickly go into Next.
As soon as we entered and found ourselves in a queue to get into the Retail Park we realised - BIG mistake! Too late. An hour later (having missed the film & not done any shopping) we managed to escape from the car park.
That was the second time this has happened to me - but will be the last because I simply won't go there again. I can't risk getting 'trapped' there.
The car park full of frustrated and angry people there - so I am surprised that nothing has been done about getting the traffic lights sorted so more cars can exit at busy times.

The retail store there certainly will be missing out on my trade for the forseeable future.
