HOLMFIRTH TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE JOINS IN THE YORKSHIRE DAY CELEBRATIONS

 

Every year the staff at Holmfirth Tourist Information Centre like to get into the spirit with their Yorkshire Day celebrations.  This year visitors can look forward to their wonderful Yorkshire Day window display, which is always eye catching and original.

 

For those wanting to put those little grey cells to good use, why not try their Yorkshire Quiz and word search with a Yorkshire prize for the winner.

 

The new White Rose badge designed by Huddersfield University student Laura Dobson and sponsored by Kirklees Council will be available.  Donations will support the Prince’s Trust projects in Yorkshire.

 

Children can wave the flag for Yorkshire with free Yorkshire Day Flags supplied by Welcome To Yorkshire.

 

There will be free samples of Yorkshire Teabags and Yorkshire Tea loaf for customers to try, all kindly donated by Taylor’s of Harrogate, as well as ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ car stickers.

 

Some of the Holmfirth Tourist Information Centre staff also have a stall at the Yorkshire Day celebrations at Oakwell Hall on Sunday August 1, don’t forget to call in for a visit.  Holmfirth Tourist Information Centre is open from 11.00am. to 4.00pm on Sunday August 1 so come along and take pride in Yorkshire!
