Another great evening at the Hinckley Business Association (HBA) seminar/dinner last night. As usual the seminar/dinner was held at our bestof hotel Sketchley Grange Spa Hotel, Burbage and as ever, the service from the staff at the hotel was excellent. It really is a superb venue for this type of conference.

About 50 delegates attended the evening from over 36 different companies/ organisations. The theme of the evening was - excellence, something thebestofHinckleystrives for in its own actions and carefully looks for in our listed members.

Well after an 'excellent' meal we had some really interesting, thought provoking and 'excellent' speakers. The first of the speakers, Judy Peatfield from Concordia Theatre, gave us a really good insight into what happens behind the scenes of the theatre to keep this local treasure in business. It is so easy for us to just see the programme of events and forget the gargantuan effort that has to be put in to get the shows to the stage! Keep it up Concordia, as I said in an earlier blog article, the pantomime was an absolutely stunning success and a sell-out, the final show is this Saturday!

It was also good to see Jag Petha from Sturgess Hutchinson Accountants and the voice coach Priscilla Morris from Loud & Clear! at the event. Not forgetting our newest HBA members, Dusty Durham from St James's Place and Lynn from De Montfort University - Skills for Business.

If you would like information on the HBA or would like to come along to one of the quarterly seminar dinners then take a look at the HBA website or just drop me a line on Hinckley@thebestof.co.uk
