Concordia Theatre – Hinckley
Bringing entertainment and theatrical arts
to Hinckley town centre.
The Concordia Theatre – Hinckley has, since its opening night in November 1972, been run entirely by volunteers. To achieve this requires a constant flow of voluntary workers of all types and trades to fill the many roles of the theatre, for example:
- building stage sets
- preparing and operating stage lighting for the shows
- sound engineers
- box office
- stage hands
- wardrobe
- catering and bars
- front of house ...
… and so many more voluntary roles and tasks that all need to be fulfilled just to get the shows to the stage let alone keep the theatre running in between the shows!
For this reason the theatre is always looking for people who would like to undertake some voluntary work and:
- have a few hours spare and not sure what to do with them
- are interested in doing their bit for the local community
- would like to try their hand at new jobs and technologies
- have an interest in the arts and entertainment.
There are just so many ways in which you could get involved and have fun at the same time.
Getting involved with the Concordia Theatre - Hinckley is not just a matter of giving up your time because it also has its benefits. For example, you will get to meet new people, make new friends, learn new skills, experience the thrill of theatre and see how it all fits together.
Not forgetting of course, that you will also become part of the long and successful history of the Concordia Theatre in Hinckley.
