The Victoria will re-open its doors on Saturday 1st December 2012 as “The Queen Victoria”. After many months of closure, the pub has undergone complete refurbishment and will be under new management. Simon Rolls & Renee Ansell, who previously managed the Allied Arms in St Mary’s Butts, Reading, will be the new managers.

The Queen Victoria will offer four “Real Ales” two of which will be supplied by Local Brewer Chris Hearn & family at the Loddon Brewery, Dunsden Green. Other Real Ales from local breweries will be on offer, changing on a weekly basis. Premium lagers Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Kronenbourg, alongside Symonds Cider and Guinness will also be on sale, complimented by a range of fine wines.

The re-opening of the Queen Victoria will signal a turning point in the pubs recent history and it will emulate the popularity and success of the Allied Arms in Reading which won “The Best Traditional Pub” award in Reading three years in succession. It is the desire of the new management team to ensure that the Queen Victoria will be a safe and pleasant venue for people to enjoy a night out in a convivial atmosphere. The Queen Victoria will be open from Noon till 11PM every day except Sundays when it will close at 10PM.
