Sponsored Diet For Sue Ryder Care
3rd April 2009
... Comments

This week I'm, Phil Chappell, starting a sponsored diet in as part of Sue Ryder's Big Wigs Challenge. The challenge actually starts in May and lasts until the end of August, however I decided to start at the beginning of April. My ain is to lose 20 pounds by the end of August. You can sponsor me at www.justgiving.com/philchappell

If I miss the 20 pounds target I will make up the balance. If you sponsor me per pound you will be limited to £20 even if I lose more weight! Of course if you want to match me pound for pund that is really great. Sue Ryder Care is a fantastic charity and one that we, at the Best Of, are very proud to support. In 2007 I undertook a sponsored bike ride for them. Now with my weight needing to be bought down I thought that going public would really encourage me along.

My wife, and business partner Gillian, is helping me along by planning my intake for the week. I'm on a GI diet, so slow release foods are great. Nick, the owner of Expert Fitness Studio, has planned an increased exercise programme for me. I'm fairly fit but overweight. So if you see me plodding along the Thames Path please give me some encouragement!

As those who know me know that I do like my real ale and whisky so i've decided to cut right back on my booze intake. Also soing a lot of breakfast networking is a challenge as I' alwys up for a fry up. So now it is just the eggs and tomato.

I'm going to update this blog weekly so please come back to see my struggles and triumphs. Please alos think about sponsoring me for what is a great charity.

All the best,

Phil
