Remenham anglers were faced with freezing conditions of -6 degrees last Sunday where smashing the ice was required before fishing commenced.
Although the fishing was hard, all anglers managed to put fish in the net during the 6 hour gruelling competition.
Trevor Pearce put on a fine performance and managed to tempt some hungry perch and roach on his maggot and caster approach for a winning weight of 5lb 14oz. Stan Robak was runner up with a mixed bag of 3lb 8oz caught on pinkie and club captain Ian Chaplin was third with 3lb of roach caught on maggot. The match this weekend, subject to weather conditions, is at Soke Road.
