This Saturday Henley is celebrating our successful Olmpic Rowers.

Thirteen athletes from the town's Leander Club won medals as members of the British rowing team which topped the medal table at the Olympics. To celebrate Leander, Henley Town Council and the River and Rowing Museum have organised a Celebration by the Town.

There is a reception at the River & Rowing Museum, followed by a row past on the Regatta course, and then an open top bus tour of the town. The day is finished off with anotheer reception at the Town Hall for local school children and dignitaries. Please see our Best Of Henley-on-Thames website for further details. http://www.thebestof.co.uk/henley-on-thames/events/146951

On Sunday is the Henley Half Marathon, starting and finishing from Henley Rugby Club. Let's hope that the runners and Olypic medalists get good weather unlike last Sunday when it poured down. Please find details of the half marathon on this website. http://www.henleyhalfmarathon.org.uk/

So there is going to be problems for drivers in and around Henley this weekend. Watch out for diversions and road closures. The marathon starts at 9.30am on Sunday and the Open Top Bus Tour on Saturday starts at 11.30am.

On Saturday there is also one of the very popular Sue Ryder Sales. See details on our website. http://www.thebestof.co.uk/henley-on-thames/events/129897

So lots going on in Henley this weekend. enjoy yourself. Try and get out to congratulate our great Olympic Rowers
