Just to let you that we, the Best of Henley, are launching a Networking Lunch. In addition to our successful Networking Evenings we plan to have our first Networking Lunch at the Maltsters Arms, Rotherfield Greys, on Tuesday 11th November. We hope to have over 20 local business owners attending our inaugral meeting. If successful we then plan to go ahead with monthly lunchtime meetings in 2009.
Our Best of Henley Evenings are very relaxed events that enable members and visitors to meet up over a glass of wine. Our lunchtime meetings will be slightly more formal networking meetings. We will still have fun but expect attendees to contibute referrals, whether from themselves or a third party. The cost is £15 for a two course lunch, main course and pudding, with coffee to follow afterwards. We will be meeting at the Maltsters from 12.00, sitting down at 12.30pm prompt.
Everyone will get a 1 minute slot, like at BNI and Athena. We might also have a guest speaker in the future. The idea is to provide a platform to market themselves and their business, and hopefully get more business. This will also give us at the Best of Henley an opportunity to explain what we are all about and the services we offer. In 2009 the Best Of are bringing in many more new products and services. Shortly the Best Of will be introducing their new look website. It should be faster and increase our rankings with the Search Engines like Google.
Talking about networking I have just returned from a networking meeting that I attend at Mapledurham Golf Course every 2 weeks. Called BBO Networking-Berks, Bucks and Oxon. Today we had 18 local business owners at the meeting. For £10 you get a chance to enjoy a fried breakfast and market yourself to local business owners from Reading, Caversham,Sonning Common and Henley.
