Mary Nightingale the ITN broadcaster has agreed to be marooned on Temple Island on 17tgh September

What is Marooned?

It’s not everyday you receive an invitation to be marooned, but that is exactly what this is.

This is your opportunity to join a select group of senior Managers from leading companies and prominent members of the local community who are to be marooned on Temple Island on the River Thames at Henley.

Armed only with a mobile phone and a list of business contacts, colleagues and friends; each of our resourceful volunteers will aim to raise £1,000 each in order to secure their release from the island.

This event is being staged by Action for Children, the charity committed to helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality.  In addition, to raising much need funds to support this important work, this highly entertaining event has attendant benefits for the organisations represented.
