Marlow Food Festival
22nd September 2009

On Sunday Gill and I had a stall at the first ever Marlow Food Festival. The event was sponsored by Hamptons of Marlow and organised by the lovely Helen Rathbone of Flying Pigs.

On our Marlow website we had an exclusive listing of the event and we were very pleased that over 2,000 people turned up on the day. This shows how effective the best of can be for marketing any local event to local people and people looking for a day out. We had fantastic website traffic to the event listing.

On the day itself we had a stall promoting the best of and had the opportunity to meet local people and local business owners. There was the opportunity to meet Heston Blumenthal; Michell and Russell, the owners of the Cheerful Sole; Mr Caldesi, the owner of Caldesi in Bray. Also we met up with the owner and chef of Aubergine at the Compleat Angler.

There were many other stalls, from cakes to french wine. My favourite was Rebellion Brewery who were handing out FREE beer. The location and weather were superb. The Crowne Plaza were excellent hosts and the layout worked very well.

We are looking forward to Marlow Food Festival 2010.
