Henley Town & Visitors' Regatta
30th July 2009
... Comments

The 2009 regatta takes place on Saturday 1st August, over part of the famous Royal Regatta course. Racing usually starts at about 8:30am, with the finals in each event running from 4.30pm to 7.00pm.

Spectators will receive free admission at this year’s Town and Visitors’ Regatta. Information can be found on this website. http://www.henleyrowingclub.info/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=78&Itemid=66

More than 160 crews from 33 clubs have entered this year, covering the full range of boat sizes and abilities from novice single scullers to elite eights. Large squads are coming from local clubs Henley and Upper Thames, but the largest is from Vesta Rowing Club in London. It seems likely that these clubs will go head-to-head to win the Sutherland Cup and £750 prize that will be awarded to the most successful club on the day.
