Henley Literary Festival 2011
7th June 2011

From actors and authors to politicians and poets, the Henley Literary Festival is back in 2011 – from 28 September 28 – 2 October.

Now in our fifth year, we have assembled an outstanding line-up, which we can now exclusively reveal. Sarah Brown will be giving an insight into her decade on Downing Street. With September marking the publication of her long-awaited autobiography Pam Ayres will be discussing her life. Melvyn Bragg looks at 400 years of the King James Bible, while philosopher A.C. Grayling presents his secular alternative, The Good Book.

The political spectrum is covered with appearances from Nigel Farage, Chris Mullin and Rob Wilson MP. History looms large at this year’s festival, with a focus on the likes of Queen Matilda, the Titanic and the Churchills, along with talks from Sir Alistair Horne and Sir Max Hastings. And from the world of television we will be joined by Peter Sissons, Larry Lamb and Gavin Esler.

We are also proud to announce that we will be hosting events at the beautiful Bix Manor for the first time this year, sponsored by notonthehighstreet.com. An online marketplace showcasing unique collections of inspiring products from UK small businesses, the site currently has a great range of Father’s Day gifts.

We will be adding many more events in the coming weeks and months.

Tickets go on general sale in August with priority booking to Friends of the festival in July. To find out more about becoming a Friend click here.
